Blends

A protein blend is a protein powder that contains a blend of different proteins, usually containing proteins of all different release rates. The different types of protein powders in a blended protein offers the body quick release amino acids all the way to sustained release amino acids to keep the body in a positive nitrogen balance. This will keep you in an anabolic state for hours.

A protein blend tends to be a great 'all around' protein and can be taken upon rising in the morning, anytime during the day, or before bed. A blend is not your best option for a post workout protein. At that time you want to give your muscles a good amount of quick release proteins, but a protein blend would certainly be better than not taking a protein shake at all!
